Night mode changes the background to be black and the text on the site to be white. The night mode is named as ‘Lights out.’
Let’s start with the steps to enable ‘Lights out’ in the Twitter mobile app.
- Open the Twitter app on your iPhone.
- Swipe right and head to Settings and privacy> Display and sound.
- Tap on the dark mode toggle, and select Lights out option.
First, many people complained because of the shade of the background. The background is blue instead of black; that’s why they believe that it’s not the real dark mode. Finally, it is here on iOS as ‘Lights Out’!
To display pure black, they turned off the pixels entirely to produce the darkest possible shade of black. Although the new ‘Lights Out’ mode takes advantages of OLED screens, you’ll still see a darker shade of black than before also on the LCD. However, it works best on the most recent iPhones.
You can see the difference between the new on the left and old on the rights ‘Lights Out’ mode in the screen capture below.
